At Shorty’s Trains, we offer custom painting and finishing services to help bring your model closer to the look you want. Whether you are looking to repaint an existing model, add details, or create a completely custom finish, we can work with you to achieve the look you have in mind.

We can also do DCC and sound installations at the same time as the paint job. This allows us to complete multiple upgrades at the same time, so your locomotive can leave looking great and running with the features you want.

For our brass paint jobs we make sure they are as durable as possible. We use aluminum oxide blasting to make sure the surface is perfectly clean. We then use a self etching primer which bonds to the surface. We then use enamel paints so that our paint jobs last the life of the model.
